About the Artist
Jesse, mom of toddlers and fur babies, knows how important small joys can be amongst the chaos of life. A nerd at heart, she has recently been getting inspiration from the more fantastical (and let's be real, D&D). Jesse works out of her home in Medford and a community studio in Somerville.
Kraken Ceramics was named after Jesse's daughter (Kaci), who has been nicknamed "The Kraken" since her early months, thanks to the truly horrifying gutteral grunts she makes.

FAQ's
How can I find you?
I generally will post on Instagram a week or so before my next market. If you're looking to plan ahead, or reach my between markets, please shoot me an email!
Do you sell online?
Not at this time - but maybe some day.
Is your work dishwasher/ microwave safe?
Yes! All the clay and glazes I use are food, dishwasher, and microwave safe.
Does that mean I can pour boiling water in it after it's been in the freezer?
Nope! Just like glass and most other food-safe materials, ceramics can crack from thermal shock. Thermal shock happens when there's a dramatic, sudden change in temerature.Do you do this full time?
If only there were more hours in the day! My full time job is being Mom of two of the best kids under 7 I know (though I might be biased). I also volunteer when it's logistically possible, focusing on serving children and young adults. For 2026, I am also interning at a community studio as a tech, learning even more depth about kilns, firing techniques, glaze mixing, and more!
While working on my craft isn't my full time job, it is truely a passion that brings calmness in an otherwise chaotic life.
